Hallmark Channel Starts Production On Season 9 Of When Calls The Heart

Season 8 of When Calls the Heart ended season 8 on a high, with the finale episode ranking as the most-watched of the entire series. Besides this, the series is the longest-running and most-watched primetime series ever to air on the Hallmark Channel. Needless to say, fans are longing to see what happens next in their favorite seriesshow. The good news is that production has started on season 9 and its 12 new episodes on Wednesday.

As fans know, season 8 ended with Elizabeth (Krakow) choosing businessman Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally), over Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry). Krakow recently told TV Insider that they could not have gone wrong. Erin said how lucky they were with Kevin and Chris, and how excited she is about the Elizabeth/Lucas pairing. She added that she feels like it will “truly be something different for Elizabeth.”
