Hallmark’s series, The Way Home, tells the story of three generations of Landry women. Andie MacDowell (Maid, Cedar Cove) plays Del, the matriarch of the family, while Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy, Supergirl) plays her daughter Kat Landry. For those who have yet to watch season 1, the story tells us that more than 20 years ago, life-changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small Canadian farm town. Up until today, she remained estranged from her mother, Del.
However, while at a crossroads in her life, Kat moves back home with her daughter, Alice, to the family farm. Meanwhile, the reunion doesn’t go the way she envisioned.
When Kat and Alice discover the ability to time travel to the past, both mother and daughter are determined to find out the truth about earlier tragedies in the family. They try to change the course of events.
Meanwhile, Kat’s childhood friend, Elliot (Evan Williams, Awkward) is there for both of them in both eras. He aids their navigation through the two different times, helping the three women find their way back to each other.
The cast also features Al Mukadam (Pretty Hard Cases), Alex Hook (I Am Frankie), David Webster (In the Dark) and Jefferson Brown (When Hope Calls).
