Hallmark Filming New Movie Spring Breakthrough In Mobile, Alabama

Exciting news for residents of Mobile, Alabama, as filming starts on the movie Spring Breakthrough for Hallmark Channel. The news came as Goleman Casting, LLC was looking for talent and extras for the feel-good movie. Read on to find out what we know so far.

New Hallmark movie Spring Breakthrough filming in Alabama

Thanks to a post on its Facebook page, Goleman Casting, LLC is actively seeking talent and extras for a new Hallmark movie. Meanwhile, production is expected to last around three weeks and there are several postings about casting needs for Spring Breakthrough here. The movie is currently filming in Mobile, Alabama, as well as at Spring Hill College.

Reportedly, Spring Breakthrough is the second Hallmark Channel movie to be filmed in Alabama since December 2022. Fans will soon be able to watch the Mahogany movie, A Nashville Legacy (originally titled Naima in Nashville) which was filmed in Birmingham and Nashville. The movie, which was filmed before Christmas, will premiere later this month on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Sunday, February 26, at 6 pm ET. Readers can watch the trailer for that movie here:

Alabama is a popular filming location

According to The Bama  Buzz, the film industry in Alabama is truly going places. Earlier in January, the movie The Shift was filmed in several locations in Birmingham, Alabama. Moreover, recently, production was announced on the movie Gunner, an action film starring Westworld’s Luke Hemsworth and Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman, also in the city.

Moreover, besides these two recent movie productions, Hulu returned to the Eastern Shore this month to film the mini-series, Love Fairhope. It is planned to capture Mardi Gras as part of the new series.

Brian Jones of the Alabama Film Office recently told The Bama Buzz that productions like Gunner and The Shift, which is currently filming in Birmingham, generate a great deal of attention for the area. However, it is more important to recognize the impact it has on the city’s economy, saying:

Hiring local people for crew, renting equipment, filling area hotel rooms and restaurants, is all money that goes directly into Birmingham’s economy.

As for Hallmark Channel fans, they definitely have something to look forward to in the feel-good movie, Spring Breakthrough, filming in Mobile, Alabama, USA.
