Hallmark Mother’s Day Movie Marathon Features Five Romantic Movies In May

April is almost over, and with it, May is now on the horizon – a time for Hallmark Channel to host its Mother’s Day Movie Marathon, featuring five romantic movies.

The popular event kicks off on Saturday, May 3, and continues through Saturday, May 31, 2025. Featuring hot air balloon rides, racetrack romances with fancy hats, and finding love on the River Danube, these are movies that moms shouldn’t miss.

Hallmark’s Mother’s Day Movie Marathon 2025

The following are the five romantic movies in the feel-good channel’s Mother’s Day Movie Marathon:

1. Hats Off to Love

Starring: Ginna Claire Mason, Holly Robinson Peete and John Clarence Stewart

Premiere date: Saturday, May 3, at 8 pm ET

Plot:

Stella (Ginna Claire Mason) is a hat and fascinator designer for socialite, Rosalind (Holly Robinson Peete). While attending the Louisville Derby, Stella forms a surprising connection with Rosalind’s son, Christian (John Clarence Stewart), a horse trainer. Naturally, this movie is full of colorful and fabulous hats and matching outfits.

2. Love in the Clouds

Starring: McKenzie Westmore and Paul Greene

Premiere Date: Saturday, May 10, at 8 pm ET

Plot:

Jared (Paul Greene) is a hot air balloon pilot who offers romantic rides, but isn’t open to romance himself. However, this could all change after he meets a reporter named Brooklyn (McKenzie Westmore) at the Balloon Fiesta.

3. Love on the Danube: Love Song

Starring:  Nazneen Contractor and Wes Brown

Premiere date: Saturday, May 17, at 8 pm ET (The movie originally aired on Hallmark+ in September 2024)

Plot:

Love Song is the first of three movies from the Love on the Danube collection, and follows cruise passengers, Sarah (Nazreen Contractor) and Jack (Wes Brown), as they play matchmaker for their widowed parents while enjoying a River Danube cruise.

4. Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway

Starring: Jessica Sipos and Dan Jeannotte

Premiere Date: Saturday, May 24, at 8 pm ET (The movie aired on Hallmark+ in September 2024)

Plot:

Ava (Jessica Sipos) is an art gallery manager who takes her honeymoon cruise solo after being left at the altar by her fiancé. While relaxing and enjoying the cruise, Ava meets a prince (Dan Jeannotte), who is posing as a European gentleman.

5. Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars

Starring: Sarah Power and Brendan Penny

Premiere Date: Saturday, May 31, at 8 pm ET (The movie originally aired on Hallmark+ in September 2024)

Plot:

Savannah (Sarah Power) is a publicist working with Tripp (Brendan Penny), an actor who can’t seem to connect with his fans. Meanwhile, as they promote Tripp’s latest movie while on a river cruise, the pair forms a connection that complicates their working relationship.
