Hallmark Movie News: WCTH Kevin McGarry New Movie “Christmas Scavenger Hunt’ Promo and Details

‘When Calls the Heart’ Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant) has been very busy. The actor recently made an appearance on the ‘WCTH’ spinoff series ‘When Hope Calls,’ and he has a few Christmas movies premiering in the coming holiday season. Add another Christmas movie to the list.

‘Christmas Scavenger Hunt’ is the latest Hallmark Channel holiday-themed movies on Kevin’s impressive list of projects. Kevin’s co-stars are Kim Shaw and comedian Tom Arnold. It’s all part of Hallmark Channel’s ‘Countdown to Christmas.’ The programming event is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.

Belinda (Kim Shaw, ‘Saving Hope’) returns home for Christmas she runs into her old boyfriend Dustin (Kevin McGarry, ‘When Calls the Heart), who broke her heart when she left for college and he stayed behind. Unable to hide her delight in seeing him, Belinda flirtatiously reminds Dustin how he hurt her all those years ago.

Belinda decides to tell Dustin that her new boyfriend should be arriving soon to celebrate Christmas in her hometown.

Belinda’s dad Carl (Tom Arnold), not so secretly wants Belinda to get back with Dustin. In fact, Carl is in charge of picking teams for the Christmas Scavenger Hunt, and he “accidentally” pairs Belinda with Dustin.

As they follow the clues and race around town to complete various holiday activities, Dustin and Belinda snap several selfies to document the completed tasks.

The best photo Belinda and Dustin together in front of the tree they take to the town recluse Belinda used to visit with her mother before she passed. Truth be told, Belinda isn’t home just for the holidays – the firm she works for wants her to buy the rundown textile museum for a client who intends to tear it down to build condos

As an added incentive, if Belinda seals the deal before New Year’s, she’ll be promoted to Junior Vice President. Conflicted as she races through the Scavenger Hunt, Belinda doesn’t know how she’s going to tell Dustin, who is the director of the museum. It might take a Christmas miracle or two for their old love to survive and for a beloved part of history to be saved.

Inspired by a story idea following random acts of kindness at Christmas, a journalist reconnects with an old flame in her hometown. Kevin stars as Colin Hauer, alongside Erin Cahill, Hamza Fouad, and veteran actress Jaclyn Smith.

Add one more holiday movie to Kevin McGarry’s resume. ‘A Very Corgi Christmas’ co-stars Kelly Kruger (‘The Young and the Restless, Mackenzie Browning Hellstrom). The movie is scheduled to air Sunday, December 1, 2019 on Super Channel Heart & Home.
