Why Jesse Metcalfe Finally Said Yes

For those that might not know, Jesse was actually asked to join DWTS a total of three times, he told Us magazine. The first two times, he said no and accepted the third time he was asked. The reason is that in the past, actors were discouraged from doing certain things or accepting specific gigs.

One of those just happened to be Dancing With the Stars. However, the Hallmark star explained that in the past few years, the landscape for the entertainment business has changed so much. These days, actors can do what they want, as long as they are authentic in what they are doing.

Although being on the long-running dancing competition series was exciting and thrilling, Jesse confessed it was also hard on his body. There were a lot of “wear and tear” and rehearsals, as well as the actual performance, was tough.

The Chesapeake Shores star said that he even gave his partner, Sharna Burgess a hard time. She was trying to teach him the basics of a new dance from scratch. However, it was tough for the Hallmark star because his body was not used to those “foreign movements.”

Would Hallmark Star Do Another Reality TV Show?

When asked if Jesse would agree to do another reality show, he is up for the challenge. He was really surprised at what a rewarding experience he had on Dancing With the Stars. However, he made it clear that there is one type of reality show that he won’t ever do.

The Hallmark star puts his foot down when it comes to his love life. He explained, “That’s where I draw the line. Once you start profiting from your personal life — and I mean, you’re basically selling your personal life. You’re selling it to the network. You’re selling it to the media. I feel like I need to draw the line somewhere. That’s not in line with my values.”
