While it seems like yesterday that Mean Girls was released, it has certainly been 19 years since the first movie came out. The teen comedy was followed up in 2011 by Mean Girls 2, which is also a long time ago. However, Lacey Chabert has posted about Mean Girls on her Instagram with some great images of her co-stars posing beautifully.

Lacey played Gretchen Weiners, a member of The Plastics. However, she was also the daughter of the inventor of Toaster Strudel. Meanwhile, Gretchen made the word “fetch” famous in the movie, which only goes to prove the power of the movie on pop culture.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Chabert wrote:

I can’t believe it’s been 19 years since #MeanGirls was released! I’m forever thankful to have been a part of this special movie. The friendships that were formed because of it still bring so much joy to my life.

Thank you to the fans for all of the support & love over the years.

The Hallmark star has never forgotten her experiences filming Mean Girls as she shares a series of images from the movie.

Meanwhile, another Hallmark great Jonathan Bennett also starred in the teen girl movie, as can be seen here. In the image, he looks so young and cute and was quick to comment on Lacey’s post, sweetly writing, “Best part of shooting this movie was your friendship.”

Meanwhile, another complimented all the Mean Girls stars, writing, “And yet none of y’all have aged 19 years.”

Another firm fan wrote, “Mean Girls will forever remain my go-to comfort movie! It’s the most quotable movie that I’ve ever seen, and it is such a feel-good film that’s chockfull of hearty laughs from start to end.”

Another fan was obviously thrilled by Lacey’s post, writing, “Im [sic] dying!!!! These photos are unreal and I cannot believe it’s been 19 years!! I hope you’re wearing your really nice white gold hoops from Hanukkah!”
