Stars Alison Sweeney and Ashley Williams, who are close friends, decided to collaborate on a project together-in January, the network revealed that the talented duo was filming two movies in Barcelona.

Adding to the excitement, the renowned Sir Ron Oliver is directing both films; previously, he shot all three Groomsmen movies in Bulgaria, Greece, and Italy; now, he’s taking his talent to Spain.

It’s truly remarkable-plus, Julie Sherman Wolfe has penned the scripts, known for her work on Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.

With all these elements combined, these films are set to be two amazing romantic comedies set in picturesque locations.

Alison Shared Lots Of Photos On Instagram

The Days of Our Lives star, known for her role as Sami Brady, recently took to Instagram to share a delightful array of photos and provided some insights about her upcoming projects.

“Ashley and I are thrilled to finally reveal the films we’ve been teasing throughout the year: To Barcelona, With Love and To Barcelona, Forever. These movies celebrate fun, romance, and friendship, all set against the stunning backdrop of Barcelona!” They will premiere as part of @hallmarkchannel’s annual Passport to Love on Saturday, June 7, and Saturday, June 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The First Movie-What’s It About?

This year’s Passport to Love features Alison Sweeney and Ashley Williams in two films set in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. The first film, To Barcelona, With Love, premieres on Saturday, June 7, at 8 p.m. Eastern on Hallmark.

In this romantic comedy, Alison takes the lead role while Ashley also plays a significant part-the story follows Erica, an American translator who is secretly working on a novel set in Barcelona.

Things take an unexpected turn when bookstore owner Nico (Alejandro Tous) invites the book’s credited author, Anna, to the city for a signing event.

Throughout Anna’s visit, the two women cultivate a friendship that leads them to mutually uplift one another on their paths to finding genuine happiness.

The Second Movie-What’s It About?

The second film, To Barcelona, Forever, will premiere the following Saturday, June 14, at 8 p.m. Eastern on the Hallmark Channel; Ashley takes center stage, with Alison appearing in a supporting role.

In this sequel, Anna makes her way back to Barcelona to reunite with her friend Erica, just in time for Erica and Nico’s grand engagement celebration.

Everything appears to be going smoothly until Anna unexpectedly finds herself engaged-what led to this surprising turn of events; her fiancé believes that Anna can assist him in preserving his family’s legacy.
