A new, original movie is set to premiere on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s romantic Loveuary lineup. Welcome to Mama’s stars Melanie Scrofano, Daniel di Tomasso and Lorraine Bracco in a story about an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn. According to Hallmark Channel’s press release, Welcome to Mama’s tells the story of Amy (Melanie Scrofano), who inherits an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn after “Mama” (Lorraine Bracco), the owner and Amy’s dear friend, unexpectedly passes away. Meanwhile, Amy is a trained restaurant manager, who teams up with a charming, but slightly egotistical master chef named Frank (Daniel di Tomasso), who is currently looking for a second chance.

Between them, Amy and Frank hope to honor Mama’s memory by relaunching the restaurant for the community that loves it, and Mama, so much. While the pair has its differences, both personally and professionally, Amy and Frank soon discover that the most important ingredient for any recipe is love.

Hallmark Channel News – About The Cast Of Welcome To Mama’s

Melanie Scrofano stars as Amy in Welcome to Mama’s and is known for her appearances in Wynonna Earp. She also starred in the 2019 movie, Ready or Not, and the 2009 film Saw VI.

Meanwhile, Daniel di Tomasso plays Frank and has starred in Ratched and Dynasty. He is also known for his roles in the 2012 movie Major Crimes and the 2020 movie French Exit. As for Mama herself, the role is played by Lorraine Bracco of Goodfellas and The Sopranos fame. She is also known for starring in Crime Story: Hide and Go Thief in 1986.

The official IMDb page reveals other cast members, including Matty Finochio as Sal, John Cassini at Roberto Tucci and Adil Zaidi as Lorenzo. Also starring are Andy Thompson as David Lewis, Max Montesi as young Roberto and Cassandra McCall at Emily.

Meanwhile, Michael Shepard acts as co-executive producer and Shel Piercy as producer. Associate producers of the Hallmark movie are Alexander Glua and Theresa Piercy. The movie is directed by Allan Harmon from a script by William Penick.
