Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has revealed details of Heaven Down Here, a Christmas movie about people stranded overnight in a snowstorm.

While they shelter together in a diner, it turns out the group is exactly where it needs to be in this holiday. Starring Krystal Joy Brown, Tina Lifford, Juan Riedinger, Richard Harmon and Phylicia Rashad, the movie is set to premiere on December 14.

According to the official synopsis for the movie Heaven Down Here, being stranded in a snowstorm overnight on Christmas Eve brings unexpected blessings.

The movie tells the story of four disparate people, stranded in a local diner on Christmas Eve after a snowstorm hits the town.

Imani (Brown) is the widowed mother of two children, trying to make ends meet while reluctantly agreeing to work the Christmas Eve shift in the diner. There, she clashes with her boss, Dan (Harmon), who doesn’t really embody the Christmas spirit.

Meanwhile, Felix (Riedinger) is a local pastor, desperately trying to secure food for parishioners in need on Christmas.  \However, his faith is challenged by his alienation by his son. Clara (Lifford) is a hospice nurse struggling with an obstinate patient Nancy (Rashad), whose daughter is moving away. This causes the nurse to question her place in this world.

Meanwhile, throughout the evening, the four bicker, bond and unwittingly provide each other with the answer to their respective prayers.

Krystal Joy Brown, who plays Imani, is known for her roles in Girlfriendship and Merrily We Roll Along. Tina Lifford, who plays Clara, has previously been seen in Queen Sugar, while Juan Riedinger, who plays Felix, has previously starred in Riverdale.

The role of Dan is famously played by Richard Harmon or Game, Set, Love fame. Meanwhile, Phylicia Rashad who plays Nancy is known for her roles in This is Us and Creed III.

According to the official IMBb page, other cast members include Ava Anton (Virgin River) as Angel Gabriel and Isabel Birch (Lost Ollie) as Roxy. Moreover, Jorge Montesi (Night Heat) plays Frank and Jayden Oniah (Romantic Friction) is in the role of Julian.

Heaven Down Here hails from Hallmark Media with Laurie Pozmantier and Mickey Guyton serving as executive producers. Meanwhile, Donald Munro, Shawn Williamson and Jamie Goehring serve as producers and Jonathan Shore as the supervising producer. The movie is directed by Anne Wheeler from a script penned by Allison McKenzie and Shana Lloyd.
