As if that news wasn’t exciting enough, Joy also revealed that new episodes are anticipated to premiere sometime in 2027. “I am beyond excited to share that 1874 is making a comeback. Season 2 is on its way!” she expressed in an Instagram clip on May 6; “We can’t wait to see you in 2027 for an all-new season.”

Understandably, this announcement sent fans into a frenzy of excitement for the upcoming season. “CONGRATULATIONS!!!! This is so well deserved!! You all created something truly beautiful!

Do We Know How Many Episodes Yet?
As reported by Deadline in May 2026, fans can look forward to the second season of Hope Valley: 1874, which will feature eight episodes; Hallmark expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming season to the outlet.
“The talented cast of Hope Valley: 1874, including Bethany Joy Lenz, Benjamin Ayres, and Jill Hennessy, has vividly brought to life the intricate characters and captivating narrative created by showrunner Alfonso Moreno.”
This was stated by Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming at Hallmark Media. “Both our fans and the media have warmly welcomed the series, making it particularly gratifying to continue this journey of storytelling.”
What About Returning Cast?
Based on the events of the finale, here’s our prediction for who will be back in Hope Valley for season 2 in 1874: Bethany Joy Lenz will reprise her role as Rebecca Clarke, while Benjamin Ayres returns as Tom Moore.
We can also expect Jill Hennessy to come back as Hattie Quinn, Roan Curtis as Olivia Quinn, and Lachlan Quimby as Alexander Vaughn. Additionally, Chelsea Hobbs is set to return as Peggy McCabe, and Brad Abramenko will be back as Nash McCabe.
Furthermore, Mila Morgan will portray Sarah Clarke, Alice Comer will return as Jenny McCabe, Jedidiah Goodacre will be back as Clayton Cooley, Matreya Scarrwener as Rachel Yost, and Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey as Lars Yost.
