Hallmark Channel has revealed details of a new, original movie starring Hunter King and Michele Rosiello. Titled Two Scoops of Italy, the movie was shot on location as part of the feel-good network’s June 2024 Passport to Love programming event.

Two Scoops of Italy on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, an American chef finds love of the gelato kind in Italy. Filmed entirely on location in Italy, the movie stars Hunter King as an American chef, Danielle Turner, who meets a charming local gelatiere, Giancarlo Donati, played by Michele Rosiello.

Chef Danielle Turner (King) is facing a gastronomic dilemma and might lose her restaurant unless she can come up with a new menu to wow her investor. Desperate for inspiration she heads to Ostia Antica, an ancient Roman village. Soon after, Danielle meets Giancarlo Donati (Rosiello), a charming local gelatiere, who is also facing his own crisis of the gelato kind.

Giancarlo introduces Danielle to the flavors, the culture, the gelato and other charms of the quaint village and together, they motivate and encourage on another. However, as Danielle falls for Italy, she discovers it might not be the only thing to capture her heart.

Hunter King, who plays Danielle is known for her roles in The Young and the Restless and The Santa Summit. Meanwhile, Michele Rosiello, who plays Giancarlo, has starred in An Astrological Guide and Gomorrah.

According to the official IMDb page, other cast includes Alessia Franchin (Before the Dawn, A Part of Me) as Marta, Davy Eduard King (Möbius’ Trip, Heavily in Love!) as Owen Bridges and Sara Mondello (Ripley, Jumping from High Places) as Elida.

Bobb serves as co-executive producer. The movie is directed by Roger M. Bobb from a script penned by Eric Brooks and Nicole Baxter, from a story by Abdi Nazemian.
