In Hallmark’s efforts to keep its stars from moving to GAC Family, another popular actor, Luke Macfarlane has signed a multi-pic deal with the network.

Luke MacFarlane, known for Hallmark movies such as Chateau Christmas and Taking a Shot at Love, is the latest to sign a multi-picture deal with the network. Meanwhile, he joins a list of popular stars who have already signed deals with Hallmark Channel including Brennan Elliott, Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker.

Recently, Hallmark actors like Danica McKellar, Jen Lilley, Trevor O’Donovan, Jessica Lowndes, Daniel Lissing, Jesse Metcalfe have flown the nest to GAC Family. Prior to this, disgraced When Calls the Heart star Lori Loughlin joined GAC to reprise her role in When Hope Calls. More recently, and perhaps most shockingly, Candace Cameron Bure has also jumped ship to GAC Family.

The battle began when the newly rebranded network was taken over by former Crown Media CEO Bill Abbott. Meanwhile, Hallmark Channel isn’t going down without a fight and has been signing its more popular stars to multi-picture deals.

Recently, Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott and Andrew Walker have been happy to sign up for deals with Hallmark and now, another popular star is staying. Luke Macfarlane, known for movies like Chateau Christmas and Taking a Shot at Love, is the latest to sign on the dotted line.

Speaking of the deal, Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming applauded the deal. She said, “Luke is an actor whose ability to bring to life characters with heart makes him a fan favorite and we are lucky to work with him.”

Meanwhile, Parade quotes Luke himself speaking of the deal. He said he is excited to be part of the joy that Hallmark brings to their viewers, not only for Christmas but also to participate in telling these heartfelt stories all year long. “I’m really grateful to have this opportunity,” Macfarlane added.

Hallmark Channel News – Luke Macfarlane’s Star-Studded Career

Besides his appearances on Hallmark Channel in movies like Chateau Christmas and Taking a Shot at Love, Luke is known for other iconic roles. He played Scotty Wandell on Brothers & Sisters on ABC, and D’avin Jaqobis on the SYFY show, Killjoys. Meanwhile, Macfarlane has also recently starred in a Netflix movie, Single All the Way.

Moreover, Luke Macfarlane stars in the new original movie, Moriah’s Lighthouse, premiering in June on Hallmark Channel.
