Brooke Shields to star in new TV crime drama Allie & Andi
This week, Acorn TV announced a new crime drama starring Brooke Shields. Dubbed Allie & Andi, the new show is helmed by a former When Calls the Heart executive producer, Robin Bernheim and is set to premiere in 2026.
According to AMC Networks, the new crime drama will be a six-episode murder mystery, set in a quaint New England town. The plot follows “Bestselling novelist (Shields) who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and influencer to find the killer of a close friend.”
Brooke Shields shared her excitement for the new crime drama, saying:
I’m overjoyed to collaborate once again with the incredible Robin Bernheim who has created two strong, smart women you want to root for within Allie & Andie. The writing and storytelling really resonate with me, and this is a project I’m not only proud of but a role I can’t wait to play.
Bernheim is the creator and showrunner for the series and is a former When Calls the Heart executive producer. Shields previously worked with Bernheim on When Calls the Heart, when Shields played Charlotte Thornton in season 3. Meanwhile, Robin and Brooke reunited for Netflix’s Mother of the Bride in 2024.
It is way too soon to reveal a premiere date, but production starts in the fall of 2025, with a premiere set for sometime in 2026.
So far, Acorn TV has yet to announce who will play the role of the influencer/writer.
Shields has played detective before

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Shields has played a detective, as more than a decade ago, Shields starred in Hallmark’s Flower Shop Mysteries. However, despite an attractive contract with the feel-good network, she left.
Reportedly, her reason for ditching the mystery series is that she believed it would have humor, but former Hallmark boss Bill Abbott didn’t want humor in his content. Moreover, stars have received that Abbott didn’t want to see the stars cry, or wear plaid. This firm rules sent Brooke to rework her contract and abruptly leave the show.
About Brooke Shields
Meanwhile, besides the new Acorn TV show, Shields has been doing well in another project, namely Almost Paradise with David Spade. The multi-camera sitcom is about a “normal married couple” facing the challenges associated with living on a desert island. Her role here is almost Blue Lagoon meets Gilligan’s Island and sounds like it will be a hoot. While Fox has ordered two scripts for Almost Paradise, the series is still in development.
Moreover, while busy with her new roles, the actress has been promoting her book, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed To Get Old, where the former supermodel shares all kinds of stories from her life, including her acting roles.
