This coming weekend fans of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas have a special treat in store. Next Stop, Christmas is one of the latest holiday romance movies, but with a difference. Most people have heard about the Ghost of Christmas past, now we have a boyfriend past. In this movie, we get to see not one, but two stars of the classic Back to the Future movie trilogy. Lea Thompson stars with Christopher Lloyd on a train journey into the past.

According to the official synopsis, Angie (Lyndsy Fonseca) is a successful surgeon in New York City. However, close to the holidays, she finds herself wondering what life would have been like if she had married her former boyfriend, Tyler (Eric Freeman), who is now a successful sportscaster. When Angie takes the train home for the holidays with her family, her arrival is inexplicably 10 years earlier.

Naturally, at first Angie is disoriented by her unexpected time travel, but slowly gets used to the idea. With the help of the train’s enigmatic conductor (Christopher Lloyd), she manages to navigate her visit to this Christmas past, while trying to return to the present.

While she tries to figure out how to get back to the future, Angie reconnects with her family. She even teams up with her sister Kristen (Paige Herschell) to help her parents, Evelyn (Lea Thompson) and Marty (Matt Walton) rekindle their romance. While all this is going on, Angie gains a new perspective and find out what, or who, is truly important to her.
