Alison Sweeney and her Wedding Veil co-star Victor Webster are reuniting in One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Alison Sweeney & Victor Webster team up for One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery
Sleuthers will no doubt be excited at the news that Alison Sweeney and Victor Webster are starring in a new movie on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Fans last saw them together in The Wedding Veil, and previously, Alison starred with Cameron Matthison in the Hannah Swensen movies. However, their chemistry is definitely on point for the new mystery movie.
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries first announced the movie on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“Something’s baking, #Sleuthers! One Bad Apple: A #HannahSwensen Mystery will premiere later this year with @Ali_Sweeney and new cast member, @webstervictor.”

Meanwhile, Alison couldn’t hold back on how excited she is to be filming a new project. She made a post on Instagram, with the caption, “Love being back on set. Can’t wait to share what I’m up to this week.”
What happened to Cameron Mathison?
Fans will recall that previously, Cameron Mathison was Ali’s co-star in the Hannah Swensen Mystery movies. However, as reported by TV Insider, Mathison has been replaced by Victor Webster. In November 2023, Cameron signed an exclusive contract with Hallmark’s competitor, Great American Family.

Meanwhile, to save confusion, Victor is not playing Detective Mike Kingston, as he will star as Lake Eden’s prosecuting attorney. Ali is not only starring in the new Hannah Swensen movie but is again executive producing. However, it turns out she also wrote the script, saying:
When writing the script and developing this movie, I knew he’d be a great addition to the Hannah Swensen family, and am thrilled he said yes.
Moreover, Sweeney is thrilled to be reunited with Webster, saying, “I’ve always loved working with Victor – from our years in daytime to our work together on The Wedding Veil.”
Meanwhile, Laura Gaines, Hallmark Media’s Director of Development spoke of the two lead actors, saying, “The great chemistry Alison and Victor had in The Wedding Veil trilogies made the decision to bring him into this world an easy one. It will be fun for viewers to see a different side of the legal process as Hannah learns the recipe for a strong case.”
What is the plot of the movie?
One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is based on the Joanne Fluke novel, Apple Turnover Murder. It tells the story of Hannah teaching a college baking class, but there is a tragedy, as one of her colleagues winds up dead.
As Hannah tries to work out what happened, she “meets a different side of the law and order when Lake Eden’s prosecuting attorney, Chad Norton (Webster), enters her life.”
Other cast in the movie include Barbara Niven as Delores, Lisa Durupt as Andrea, Tess Atkins as Michelle and Gabriel Hogan as Norman.
When will One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery Premiere On Hallmark?
So far, there is no set date for the premiere of the new Hannah Swensen movie. However, it is believed the movie will drop later this year. Currently, the cast is finishing up production in Vancouver for the new mystery movie.
