Greene has been showcasing his beloved tales from shooting Hallmark Christmas movies on his website, known as the Greene Room Blog.
The stories feature a reflection on filming “When Calls the Heart,” and a recount of a moment when he made a selfless gesture to film a Christmas movie. He has announced his intention to release a total of 12 posts and has already posted six at the time of this article’s publication.
Although he hasn’t been a part of the WCTH cast for quite some time now, he has many fond memories of his castmates and the show. He writes about missing his WCTH family on his website as well.
Hallmark Channel Spoilers: Greene Talks About A WCTH Christmas Movie
His most recent post was about the “When Calls the Heart” Christmas movie titled “The Christmas Wishing Tree,” which was filmed during Daniel Lissing’s (Jack Thornton) time on the show. The movie was first shown in 2017.
He mentioned that this was his debut movie for “When Calls the Heart” and they had to endure the “sweltering heat” while pretending it was cold and snowy. He also shared that he was still relatively new to the cast when the movie was made.
Additionally, he disclosed an anachronism in the film, where his character Carson distributed a treat that wasn’t actually available during that time period.

Greene penned the script for “Christmas CEO,” starring Marisol Nichols. The film was shot in Canada amidst the pandemic, which presented its own set of challenges.
He revealed that his partner, Kate Austin, was expecting a baby, and being apart from her during filming was a “personal sacrifice.”
“Kate Austin was pregnant with our son Austin at the time, making it tough to be away for several weeks. We relied heavily on FaceTime to stay connected and continued our work with the Freedom Alchemist program, where I coached from Ottawa,” he shared.

Greene has an impressive track record of successful projects, including the 2019 premiere of “Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy” and the 2017 premiere of “Christmas in Angel Falls.”
In addition to these films, he also worked on a Christmas concert, a “When Calls the Heart” movie, and “Christmas Cookie Matchup” for Hallmark in 2019.
His dedication to his craft is evident in the quality of his work, and his willingness to travel for filming shows his commitment to bringing his stories to life.
He also penned the script for “A Wish for Christmas,” featuring Greene, Lacey Chabert, and Andrea Brooks. The film made its debut in 2016.

Greene mentioned that it was his initial collaboration with Chabert, who was expecting during the filming process. They had to creatively conceal her pregnancy using various props and costumes.
Then he went on to say they often worked long hours filming, sometimes up to 15 or 16 hours a day, and Lacey consistently impressed them with her incredible work ethic.
Her commitment and professionalism were truly remarkable, and she never allowed her pregnancy to hinder her performance. And that is no easy feat for an extremely pregnant mother to be!

Greene has been involved in a variety of heartwarming Christmas films, including “A Christmas Detour” and “Christmas CEO.”
Despite the challenges of filming “A Christmas Detour” during a heat wave in Vancouver, Canada, his dedication to bringing holiday cheer to audiences shines through in each production. Christmas CEO,” which debuted in 2021 was his last Christmas movie on Hallmark.
