It seems that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, may have moved on from her Hallmark days, but it looks like she still has strong ties to the Hallmark family.

Recent photos of Markle having lunch with another Hallmark star, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, suggest that she still has friends within the Hallmark community.

However, it’s unlikely that Markle will be returning to Hallmark anytime soon, although the pair was spotted at Tre Lune, an Italian restaurant in Montecito, California.

Markle gained fame for her role as Rachel Zane in the hit legal series Suits prior to tying the knot with Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex in 2018.

In addition to her work on the show, she also appeared in two Hallmark films, When Sparks Fly and Dater’s Handbook.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley is a familiar face on television, having appeared in According to Jim and Nashville and movies like Father of the Bride and its sequel Father of the Bride II.

However, she’s most famous for Hallmark movies, starring in Witness to Murder, A Nashville Christmas Carol, and Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday, along with its sequel Sister Swap: Christmas in the City.

In addition, Williams-Paisley portrayed Claire Darrow in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Darrow Mysteries series.

Notably, the actress, who has been happily married to country singer Brad Paisley since 2003, frequently collaborates with her sister, fellow Hallmark star Ashley Williams, on various Hallmark projects.

The online response to their lunch date and budding friendship was overwhelmingly positive, with fans praising Meghan’s choice of friends.

Some remarked, “Meghan is friends with only the best people,” while others noted, “Sounds like meeting of great minds.” However, not everyone was supportive, as some negative comments even popped up on irrelevant posts on Williams-Paisley’s Instagram account, cautioning her about getting “Markled.”

Despite the mixed reactions, the connection between Meghan and Williams-Paisley may have stemmed from their shared neighborhood of Montecito and perhaps a bond over Hallmark.
