Sometimes in life, we need a little nudge to find romance and in Scouting For Christmas, a 10-year-old girl works to get her mother and a local baker. According to TV Insider, the movie stars Tamera Mowry-Housley, Carlo Marks, Marci T. House and Jaycie Dotin.

The Hallmark movie tells the story of Angela (Mowry-Housley), a busy realtor and a single mom of two years. She keeps herself busy with her work and rearing her 10-year-old daughter, Brooklyn (Audrey Wise Alvarez).

Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Dakota is a good guy, but as a paleontologist, he spent all his time away from his family. Their divorce was on a friendly basis, but now Angela is used to doing everything on her own.

Moreover, she always does her best to go to all of Brooklyn’s events. However, this is made even harder when dealing with last-minute changes at work. Angela does admit that it is quite the balancing act and she sometimes wishes that she had some help.

Now, it is Christmas and Angela is busier than ever, which leads to her being late to Brooklyn’s scout meetings. She knows the other moms disapprove of her tardiness. However, her daughter has decided that William (Marks), who owns their favorite bakery, should be hired to cater the troop’s holiday bash.

Meanwhile, he is always nice to Brooklyn and, more importantly, her mom. Now she needs her mom’s help to convince the other scout moms to hire him.

While she senses that her daughter might be trying to play cupid, Angela agrees to help and finds herself enjoying time with William. However, she is reluctant to open her heart and her life to a new romance, and when Dakota returns, missing her. Brooklyn’s mom must decide what is best for her daughter and her heart.
