Tracy Austin To Feature In Hallmark Movie Game, Set, Love

Hallmark is set to bring some famous faces to their new movie, Game, Set, Love. The tennis-based movie brings in world-renowned tennis player, Venus Williams as an executive producer. That’s guaranteed to get fans watching if nothing else. But, casting the likes of Tracy Austin will give it a “real feel.” If you don’t know, Tracy was the youngest US Open female singles champion at the age of just 16.

In the movie, Davida Williams and Richard Harmon play as leads, but there’s much more to it than just tennis. Actually, it follows along with the Fall Into Love theme. On a side note, there is a lot of concern because actors in the famous franchise are leaving, and that might damage the family content put out. But, it seems to be fairly safe for now. In fact, new faces seem ready to step up to prevent favorite shows from coming to an end.

Hallmark premieres Game, Set, Love on August 27, 2022, and it runs for an hour and a half. The romance aspect comes in when Taylor (Williams), coaches a friend, Will (Harmon) at tennis. There’s a tournament coming up and doubles players will compete in it. However, she starts to like more than just his tennis talent.  So, potentially, a romance is sparked.  

Hallmark Channel News  – Tracy Austin Joins The Hallmark Movie Cast

According to a report by TV Shows Ace, Tracy Austin will play the role of herself in the movie. And, it looks like she becomes a commentator for the tournament. That news arrived via her Instagram back in June this year. Actually, it isn’t a huge part, but she clearly felt comfortable in the role. Additionally, she loved filming in Vancouver, Canada.

In her caption, the tennis star said, “Had a blast filming a small part in a movie! It wasn’t a stretch-I play a commentator! Vancouver is a beautiful city🎥😎😍.” At the time though, she didn’t say which movie she was in. Now, we know that it was the Hallmark movie, Game, Set, Love.

Hallmark Channel News – Teaser For The New Movie 

Hallmark dropped a teaser preview for the movie about five days ago. Less than a minute long, it only featured a tiny clip of Tracy Austin. Still fans of the franchise seem interested in the movie. One of them commented, “Comes out just before the start of the U.S. Open which Tracy Austin won the women’s singles title twice (1979 and 1981).” So, that seems like really good timing. 

Another fan said, “This looks like a fun time. Can’t wait to watch.”
