‘When Calls the Heart’ has truly come a long way from when they premiered in 2014 with this description, “Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher who lives a wealthy life, finds her life changed when she is assigned her first classroom assignment in a small coal mining town.” Now, we’ve met the people of Coal Valley, and we’ve decided that we rather love them and their stories very much.

It might have been just a few months since the 13th season drew to a close, but Hallmark is already teasing a new season. In fact, this time around, they seem very keen to find out what fans are most looking forward to?

Hallmark Channel Promises More In Store For ‘When Calls the Heart’ Fans

I’m pretty sure there are ‘When Calls the Heart’ fans who now wish they could flip 2026 close like a book and head right on to the spring of 2027.

Hallmark provided this piece of good news in a recent post, which they captioned, “2027 can’t come soon enough, #Hearties! 💛. There’s so much in store for the next season of When Calls the Heart. What are you most looking forward to?”

In addition to this, we’ve gotten the confirmation we need that Lori Loughlin will be returning as Abigail Stanton. If you can recall, Loughlin’s scenes were edited out of the show’s sixth season during the 2019 Varsity Blues scandal.

The next season will also expose us to the deepening romance between Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) and Edie Martell (Miranda McDougall), and Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant’s (Kevin McGarry) evolving relationship now that they’re engaged.

Of course, the Hallmark announcement was welcome news for fans of the show, who are just hungering to discover what’s next for all the incredible characters in the show.

The community’s gathering at the Hope Valley Festival to reflect on all they’ve gained after the loss is one of the emotional highs from the new season.
