Rockmann continued in the LA Times article “Hopefully, this is the turning point and she will overcome this,” she said; “I am grateful for the support and care from everyone. She empathized the story will continue and also confirmed that the fall was not on purpose and blamed the hospital for the injury. She said, “This is a complete miracle and there will be consequences-all we want Mamie to recover and be alive, fighting, and strong; it’s amazing that she’s still with us.”
Laverock’s mother took her to a hospital in Winnipeg for a “medical emergency,” and she was later transferred to a Vancouver hospital after being admitted. From there, a hospital employee escorted her from a secure hospital unit to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories, sustaining life-threatening injuries and placed on life support.
When Calls The Heart Spoilers – Who Did Mamie Laverock Play?
To refresh Hearties’ memories, Mamie portrayed Rosaleen Sullivan, the daughter of Patrick (uncast) and Molly Sullivan (Johannah Newmarch).
Her father died in a mining accident at the start of WCTH, leading Rosaleen to hold a grudge against Henry Gowen (Martin Cummins). In her final season, Season 10, Rosaleen left Hope Valley with no plans of returning.
By 1920, she was working as a nanny in Cape Fullerton, saving up to attend nursing school while caring for the children she loved.
Rosaleen took a break from to visit her mother Molly in Hope Valley, surprising Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) with an apple and a book she had borrowed a while back.
WCTH Spoilers – Eventually, Rosaleen Forgave Henry Gowen
Rosaleen told Elizabeth she could stay for only a week as the family she used to work for was moving to Charleston, South Carolina. When she saw Gowen was still in town, she was upset and couldn’t believe he was still there; seeing him brought back memories of the mine disaster.
Eventually, Rosaleen realized Henry had changed and forgave him and invited him to sit next to her at the church during the choir performance.
Later, she happily witnessed him become Goldie Coulter’s (Ellie Sweiss) godfather. Rosaleen decided to accept Henry’s scholarship and enrolled in nursing school.
