When Calls the Heart spoilers reveal that the season 8 finale aired on Sunday evening. Right when the closing credits closed, viewers got a special surprise. It was displayed on the television screen that there will be season 9. That’s right, WCTH has been renewed by the Hallmark Channel!

After what seemed like an eternity, she finally made a decision about whether her true love was Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) or Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). Not only did fans get a resolution to the love triangle, but were told that the show has been renewed by the Hallmark Channel.

Not only did fans get a message confirming season 9 displayed on the screen, but there was a video announcement, as well. Plus, we have statements from both the cast and those in charge of programming. Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President of Programming at Crown Media Family Networks issued a statement.

Erin Krakow Issues Statement

When Calls the Heart season 9 spoilers reveal that Krakow is really excited that the show is going to go on. The actress spoke with Deidre Behar of Entertainment Tonight that she is happy and proud of what they have built since the show began. She expressed feeling grateful for her job, getting to do what she loves, and being able to work with those she adores.

McNally said that there is no downside to the news and was thrilled over the renewal. As for McGarry, he predicts multiple stories for the next season and thinks the show will go in an exciting new direction.

“There are lots of stories to tell. The way that we ended season 8 opens up for multiple stories and taking the show in an exciting new direction and yeah, I’m pumped.”

Even though fans will get to see what happens now that Elizabeth has chosen Lucas, there are other stories to tell. The cast has grown and we will get to see what the future holds for them when the show returns in 2022.
