When Calls The Heart (WCTH) fans are counting down the days until Season 12 debuts, which is happening on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

That’s only mere weeks away! The show recently dropped a video to promote the newest season on its official Instagram account, which has Hearties everywhere buzzing about what exactly they should be gearing up for.

The IG video showcased WCTH’s most important sets over the show’s tenure. The caption of the Instagram video read, “Can you feel it? The anticipation is building for the season twelve premiere arriving January 5th at 9/8c on @hallmarkchannel! Any season twelve predictions, #Hearties?”

Interestingly enough, the first set the video highlighted was Hope Valley’s church, which sparks the question: should WCTH fans be expecting a wedding or funeral come Season 12?

Of course, the comments section of the video had fans speculating if the church was a clue that Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) could be getting engaged or possibly married. After all, the two have been wrapped in a romance since the end of Season 11.

Still, it is always possible that two other characters could get hitched, despite not being in a relationship – looking at you, Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). Still, most people’s money is on Elizabeth and Nathan

With that said, churches aren’t only used for weddings, but sadly, funerals as well. While any character could be on the chopping block in that case, could this mean that disaster could strike in Hope Valley, where someone meets their demise?

Speaking of Lucas, if the show wanted to offer some shock value and kill off a character, Bouchard might be the way to go. He hasn’t been overly active in storylines since his breakup with Elizabeth and was shot in the Season 10 finale.

There seemed to be a love story forming for him last season when his ex, Jeanette Aucoin (Cecilia Deacon), came to Hope Valley; however, that was a bust when it was revealed she was behind the scheme to bring Lucas down and secure his money (and power) for herself.

While he took center stage for that storyline, what role will he play in Season 12? Could the character be a goner? Only time will tell.
