As When Calls The Heart fans know, something strange is going on with Nathan and now after Hallmark has released the teaser trailer for the fourth upcoming episode of the series, it looks like we could find out just what is going on.

It has been back and forth for Nathan and Elizabeth and surely he is feeling rejected after finally pouring his heart out, telling her he loved her in episode 2 only for her to run off. But now we know there could be a lot more behind his love and motive as it seems Nathan may have known Jack.

In the promotional trailer, Elizabeth can be seen asking Nathan if he knew Jack, her late husband. Nathan was once stationed at Fort Clay where Jack was last alive while working as a Mountie. Elizabeth knows this and shares this with Rosemary.

When Calls The Heart – Will Nathan Grant Share His Secret?

It seems Nathan is guilty as charged and is feeling so judging by his appearance in the trailer. The only question now, why would he decide not to share this very important information with Elizabeth? Especially after he thought about buying land from Bill to build a house with Elizabeth part of his future plans.

In last week’s episode, Nathan was approached by a Mountie and was told his shooting case from the prior year would be reopened. Unsure why, Nathan had confided in Bill with them both realizing Nathan’s career lay in the balance.

Newcomers arrive in the Welcome to Hope Valley episode of When Calls the Heart premiering Sunday, March 14 on Hallmark Channel. The inquiry begins and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) starts to question his own actions. Meanwhile, the Canfields, a new family in town, buy Gowen’s (Martin Cummins) cabin and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) welcomes them. Lee’s (Kavan Smith) sister and niece come to Hope Valley.
