When Calls The Heart Season 8 Spoilers: Chris McNally On Elizabeth’s Fate, Urges Fans To Pick ‘Right’ Side

When Calls The Heart Season 8 Spoilers: Chris McNally On Elizabeth’s Fate, Urges Fans To Pick ‘Right’ SideWhen Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveal that Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) makes her choice. Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) has better odds but Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) isn’t out just yet. However, McNally isn’t rooting for Nathan or Lucas. He explains which character he has been focusing on and why Hearties need to pick the “right” side of the love triangle.

Elizabeth Thornton’s Divided Heart

WCTH season 8 spoilers reveal that the love triangle storyline has gone on for quite a while. When this season first began. Krakow explained that all three characters go through some big changes. Lucas returned to Hope Valley with a much clearer mind frame. Despite loving Elizabeth, he has chosen to accept and support whatever decision she makes. Yes, even if Elizabeth picks the other guy.

Lucas’ perspective is exactly the reason why we think he should end up with Elizabeth. With a lot of relationships, the focus is usually on “me, me, me.” It’s rare to have someone that truly looks out for a love interest, even if they end up in bed with the competition. There is a saying that authentic love means wanting what’s best for another person, even if the “right choice” is someone else.

WCTH Season 8 Spoilers: Nathan Grant’s Secret

Nathan’s had a hard time opening up to Elizabeth. Even though he did say the “L” word, he seems to struggle with allowing himself to give and receive love. Then there was the secret Nathan kept from Elizabeth regarding Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing). Plus, she learned that it wasn’t exactly a coincidence that Nathan ended up in Hope Valley after Daniel’s death. He felt responsible for Jack’s sudden demise.

As he discovered that Jack left behind a wife and son, Nathan decided to take care of them. Even though it is nice and noble for Nathan to step in as a protector, he is motivated by guilt. That is not the same thing as love. Even though these two have gotten closer, they just don’t seem to have that natural connection that Lucas and Elizabeth share.

Lucas Bouchard Has Better Odds

When Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveal that fans are divided on who they think is the best man for Elizabeth. Some feel that Nathan is Elizabeth’s future. There are even a few who think Lucas is too smooth and too perfect. Even though all of this could be true, Lucas is the man with the better odds right now.

When Calls The Heart Season 8 Spoilers: Chris McNally On ‘Right’ Side

Speaking to TV Insider about the love triangle, McNally confirmed that he isn’t rooting for Lucas or Nathan. If he’s not pushing for one of Elizabeth’s suitors, then whose side is he on? The actor clarified that he’s rooting for Elizabeth.

“My hope, and I think I speak for all of us, my hope is that the fans end up siding with Elizabeth rather than Nathan or Lucas and thinking about what’s best for her.”

I think Lucas needs to tell her that he loves her but that he is tired of playing games and watching her and Nathan so "bye". She know Nathan Isa terrible pick bc it goes back to her husband and danger. I will stop watching if she chooses him. I know others who have told me the same bc it makes no sense.

    Lucas all the way❤️
Lucas has been kind, considerate of Elizabeth’s feelings, generous, romantic and is always thinking of what is best for her. He makes her feel loved.
Nathan is like a spoiled bratty child that wants to pout until he gets his way. His character isn’t loving. He just wants to win the contest with Lucas.
If Elizabeth chooses Nathan, I won’t want to watch anymore.
    Nathan is not romantic.
Lucas and Elizabeth could do a lot together – for each other, for the town and the people in the town. Lucas is an asset to the town, and his character is wise, but kind and thoughtful of the townspeople. I hope the storyline is not ruined because the writers pick Nathan!!!

This article says Elizabeth and Nathan don't have a natural connection. How do Elizabeth and Lucas connect on any level beyond literature and their common backgrounds? (this season revealed Nathan is well-read too, and Elizabeth has chosen to leave her Hamilton lifestyle behind time and time again) Not to mention almost every scene Elizabeth and Lucas has had together, they have been talking about Nathan or Nathan is seen in the background. I see a shallow connection between the too of them, whereas Nathan and Elizabeth share a deep connection, especially with Nathan's newly revealed connection to Fort Clay. Nathan has been in every episode preview, the most dramatic scenes of season 8 have been with Nathan and Elizabeth, and the theme of the season has been overcoming fear. There is no way that the entire season will be focused on Nathan only to have him end up with his heart broken.

I can not believe that people see a connection with Elizabeth and Lucas. She never looks at him in the same way she looks at Nathan. She adores Nathan. You could see the way she secretly looks at him without him realizing it. She can't take her eyes off of him. The day they put up the Christmas tree and she looked up at him. I think she
realized he was the guy for her. They are going to share a deep love, much stronger than her first love.
