Before mother and son walk off, Helen tells Elizabeth that someone has to take an interest in her writing with a sly smile. Now, we’re not exactly sure what to make of this smile. It could be a genuine interest and maybe she can help Elizabeth. On the other hand, the smile almost seems to be hiding something.
