When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates tease that Jesse Flynn (Aren Buchholz) and Clara Stanton (Eva Bourne) won’t be back for the show’s ninth season. A new sneak peek at the upcoming season hinted that the two main characters won’t be back in Hope Valley.

In a sneak peek that was released on the Hallmark Channel over Christmas Weekend teased that Jesse and Clara are leaving the series. In the latest clip, there was a scene that hinted at their exit.

Bill Avery (Jack Wagner), Minnie Canfield (Natasha Burnett), Joseph Canfield (Viv Leacock), Angela Canfield (Vienna Leacock), and Cooper Canfield (Elias Leacock) were all present when the reveal took place.

First, Angela asked where Jesse and Clara went. Joseph answers, “homesteading in Montana.” Cooper asks why they had to move so far away and Joseph answered that it was an opportunity they couldn’t resist taking.

As the Canfields eat their breakfast, Bill reads a letter that came from Clara.

It says, “Jesse’s dug another well since the first one dried up. We can’t recall the last time we saw rain, but our spirits are high and we’re content. Now it’s time to milk our goat, Mags. Please greet everyone, Clara.”

Another Major Change In When Calls The Heart

Fans now know that they will no longer see Jesse and Clara in the next season. They also need to prepare for another major casting change in the TV show.

Hyland Goodrich has taken over the role of little Jack once the Hallmark series returns next year. The young actor replaces the twins Lincoln and Gunnar Taylor, who played the character since season 6.

When Calls The Heart is Goodrich’s first TV role. As for the Taylor twins, they have taken a year off from filming.

A message from the twins read, “[W]e will never forget the three years we spent on set. We can not wait to see our new friend Hyland on the show and look forward to meeting him! This is not goodbye – it’s see you later.”

Erin Krakow, who plays the role of Elizabeth Thornton is enjoying working with Goodrich. She said that she’s “delighted” with the young actor. She described Goodrich as a natural in front of the camera and she can’t wait for the Hearties to fall in love with his performance.
