Season 9 is set to pick up several months after the finale of season 8. Fans will recall that Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) has finally chosen between the two men who are after her heart. Meanwhile, the choice was between handsome Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and equally dashing businessman Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). The final minutes of the finale of season 8 revealed Elizabeth’s final choice, while she and Lucas shared a passionate kiss in a bridge scene.

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – What Can Fans Expect From Season 9?

The premiere episode of When Calls the Heart season 9 is titled, “In Like a Lion.” The episode will reveal Elizabeth, returning to Hope Valley after spending time with her family in Hamilton. According to a behind-the-scenes video, McNally explains that on her return, she reunites with Lucas and the pair officially begins their courtship.

Meanwhile, Lucas also discusses the oil business with an out-of-town investor, while Hope Valley prepares for the upcoming mayoral election, along with the building of the new foundry in the town.

Meanwhile, Erin Krakow said how excited she is about the romance between Elizabeth and Lucas. She said there are so many reasons why Elizabeth is falling for him. “He’s kind, he supports her, he challenges her and we’re sharing so many beautiful moments, the three of us,” she says in the video. Krakow adds that little Jack is so much a part of that connection.

Meanwhile, McNally adds that Lucas and little Jack start to bond in a really terrific way. In the video, his character says, “Jack and I are going to have so much fun, right buddy?”

Erin then says there are so many wonderful qualities that make up Lucas Bouchard. “This is the start of a beautiful journey between these two,” she adds.

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – When Calls The Heart Season 9 Release Date

Season 9 of When Calls the Heart premieres on Sunday, March 6, at 8 pm ET on Hallmark Channel. The season is set to have 12, hour-long episodes each Sunday night through May 22.
