Plus, Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) vows to deal with all the changes in town if wins the mayoral race.

WCTH season 9 spoilers reveal that there are a lot of changes coming for the characters. It’s not just everything happening in Hope Valley but with the mounties as well. In the sneak peek clip of season 9, episode 1, titled “In Like a Lion,” Nathan and Bill are both on their horses while having a conversation.

Slowly trotting through town, it is explained that the mounties might need to drive automobiles instead of riding horses. Bill offers to teach Nathan how to drive a car. However, Nathan scoffs at the offer and makes it clear that he has no intention of giving up his horse!

When Calls The Heart Season 9 Spoilers – WCTH Season 9 Spoilers: Nathan Grant Discontent

At one point, Nathan asks Bill if he can cover for him. Nathan wants to pay a visit to Allie Grant (Jaeda Lily Miller). Bill is confused and mentions that Nathan just dropped Allie off. Nathan doesn’t seem concerned about her and says he just misses her. It seems that Nathan is trying to keep himself physically and mentally occupied.

Even though Nathan will have a new love interest in season 9, he might not meet this woman until after the premiere episode. So, perhaps Nathan is still having a hard time dealing with seeing Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) get all cozy with Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally).

Bill Avery Suspicious of Change

When Calls the Heart season 9 spoilers reveal that the sneak peek also features Bill talking about all the changes in Hope Valley. Bill watches a hot air balloon slowly rising from the ground and begins speaking about the mayoral election.

Bill says with a tense, serious and slightly disapproving tone that things are changing in Hope Valley. Bill explains that the changes are why the election is so important. Nathan tells Bill that he has his vote.

As for what else to expect, a speeding automobile whizzes past Bill and Nathan. The car spins dirt and dust everywhere as it passes by. Fans will see Lucas and Elizabeth continue their relationship. Lucas will be seen bonding with Little Jack Thornton (Hyland Goodrich). Plus, industrialization and how it affects the residents, both good and bad, will also be featured.
