Sunday’s episode of season 9 of When Calls the Heart has a number of exciting storylines. Among them, Elizabeth finally sees her book published. However, while celebrations are in order, she also receives some bad press, which takes her back a bit. Meanwhile, Lucas happily cheers Elizabeth up by giving her a sweet and touching gift. Sunday’s episode of When Calls the Heart is titled rather appropriately, “Turn of the Page.” Meanwhile, Hallmark has released a couple of teaser trailers for the episode. In one, Elizabeth’s friends are congratulating her on the publication of her book, A Single Mother on the Frontier. Already, the book is clearly becoming a real page-turner for the town.

It has taken so long for the book to be published and Lucas is planning a party to celebrate the event. However, after Elizabeth sees some bad reviews for her book, she is in no mood to celebrate.

Meanwhile, Nathan is asked if he has read Elizabeth’s book, to which he responds, “No.” However, other town’s people are enjoying the story and can’t put it down. In fact, A Single Mother on the Frontier is “flying off the shelves.”

When Calls The Heart – Lucas Bouchard Gives Elizabeth Thorton A Touching Gift

While Elizabeth is sad and hurt by the bad reviews, Lucas does his best to cheer her up. In the second teaser, he hands her an envelope, containing a very special gift from his mother. Lucas tells her that he was going to wait to give her the envelope, but decided now was a perfect time.

She certainly gets a smile on her face when she sees a worn and well-used pencil that his mother used to edit her book. In fact, Elizabeth refers to her “countless edits”, but obviously she doesn’t take that to heart. The gift truly touches her, knowing that his mother put so much work into her now published book.
