So, what lies ahead for Chris McNally’s character; in a recent chat with the Official Hearties Aftershow, writer Allie Devereux hinted at what’s next for the charming and currently single Mr. Bouchard.

‘I don’t want to give too much away, as I wouldn’t want to ruin the excitement of discovering the delightful surprises we have planned for Lucas.’ She continued sharing, before revealing a few intriguing tidbits that she is particularly enthusiastic about.

Not To Fear-Lucas Bouchard Isn’t Going Anywhere

Allie continued, “I am thrilled about our plans for him; the excitement is palpable, he’s here to stay, a vital part of Hope Valley. We’re set to reintegrate him into the town’s fabric, both personally and professionally, in ways that will be truly fulfilling. This will undoubtedly bring joy to Team Lucas, who have missed seeing their favorite character over the last few seasons.

The previous season concluded with Lucas and his possible romantic interest, Edie Martell, played by Miranda MacDougall, an attorney who took over her uncle’s ranch in the Hope Valley region.

Will Miranda MacDougall reprise her role in Season 13-only time will tell; the most encouraging news is that there are plans to further develop Chris McNally’s character.

When Will Filming Begin?

There’s been much buzz surrounding the upcoming Season 13 of When Calls The Heart. So, when can fans expect the premiere-traditionally, production for this beloved Hallmark series kicks off in July and wraps up by November.

However, no official announcements have been made yet, but they are expected soon; this suggests that Season 13 might debut sometime in 2026. Details regarding the premiere date or the return of the series to the Hallmark channel should be revealed once filming concludes.

      Personally less of Lucas is fine by me, N’s most fans. I really liked how he had less airtime in season 12. He really should remain a supporting character. He isn’t the slightest bit interesting no matter how hard the writers try to keep trying. They should make him into an antagonist since he does his best work as a shady. Character, or better yet, write him out and give him another show where he fits in better.

      Give us more of the Grant family (Elizabeth, Nathan, Allie, and Jack) as they are why most people tune in. More fans would rather see far more Henry, Bill, Canfields and Coulters than Lucas.

      Non sono dello stesso parere, penso che Lucas sia il personaggio piu’ interessante della serie. Inoltre trovo Nathan insignificante e non vedo nessuna chimica fra Nathan ed Elisabeth. Date a Lucas piu’ spazio. Sarebbe bello farlo tornare con Elisabeth trovando un modo credibile… Personalmente guardo la serie per Lucas.
