Sunday night’s episode of When Calls the Heart was shocking. During the storm, Lee Coulter receives a blow to the head and is in a bad way. Now fans are wondering if he will survive his injuries. The Hallmark Channel has released an extended preview of episode 9 of season 7, set to air next Sunday. Unfortunately, the preview doesn’t tell us much about Lee, so we will need to be patient.

Episode 9 of season 7 airs on Sunday, April 19. As you can see from the sneak peek below, Elizabeth’s book is going to be a major part of the episode. While she has been trying to get her book published, it seems she is getting more help than she had expected.

It is also clear Elizabeth is being pushed to a point where she must make a decision about the two men in her life. Lucas has already made moves, by asking her to the book reading, but Nathan also seemed ready to make a move to win her heart. Fans are no doubt looking forward to the next episode as the love triangle part of the story continues.

Will Lee survive his injuries on When Calls the Heart

At the end of Sunday night’s episode, Lee is unconscious following his injury during the storm. Hearties are concerned he could die and as can be seen in the preview, the townsfolk are also worried, staying up all night in a vigil for Lee.

Fans are hoping to find out more about Lee in the upcoming episode. This is particularly concerning for Rosemary, to whom he is the love of her life. She would be lost without Lee in her life.

Meanwhile, there is no news that Kavan Smith, who plays Lee, is about to leave When Calls the Heart, so fans are hoping for the best. Having already lost Daniel Lissing and Lori Loughlin, it would be tragic to lose another fan-favorite character.

So far, Kavan hasn’t mentioned leaving. Fans will remember that when Daniel Lissing left WCTH, it was his own decision, while Lori Loughlin was asked to leave over the college bribery scandal.
