When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates tease that Erin Krakow took to social media to share a throwback photo with former co-star Lori Loughlin.

Krakow, who plays the role of Elizabeth Thornton on the Hallmark Channel hit series, shared a still of her first scene with Loughlin as Abigail Stanton in When Calls the Heart Season 1.

This isn’t the first time the actress felt nostalgic. She recalled her time with the Loughlin in the past. Krakow even described her as her “forever friend” and expressed her desire to work with her again someday.

In a previous interview with Good Housekeeping back in April, Krakow referred to Loughlin as more than a friend but family. She’s still looking forward to seeing her back in Hope Valley soon. Fans may recall that the show didn’t kill off Loughlin’s alter ego. Instead, her character left town to take care of her ailing mother, which means the door is wide open for the actress’ return.

Krakow isn’t the only one who’s rooting for Loughlin’s return to the show. Brian Bird, the series’ creator, also wants to see the actress back in Hope Valley. Bird said during an interview with Dr. Steve Greene’s Greenelines podcast that he’d “personally love nothing more” but to see Abigail back in the show’s future episodes.

He pointed out that welcoming the actress back is only appropriate given that Hope Valley is believed to be a place of forgiveness and redemption. However, he admitted that “Whether or not we can do it is another question.”

Viewers know that Loughlin was involved in the nationwide college admissions scandal. As a result, the Hallmark Channel decided to cut ties with her and wrote her out of the show, which was halfway through airing its sixth season when the news broke.

Loughlin has already served her time. She completed her 2-month sentence, which was her punishment for paying bribes to get her daughters into college. There’s no official announcement about whether she’ll be welcomed back to the series but a lot of people hope that she’ll return.
