When Calls The Heart Stars Erin Krakow & Daniel Lissing To Star In Hallmark Christmas Movie

It has been a while since Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing starred together in the popular Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart. Daniel left the show six years ago, but is getting ready to reunite with Krakow in a new Hallmark Christmas movie. Daniel Lissing and Erik Krakow to reunite in Hallmark movie

While it’s been six years since they starred together in When Calls the Heart, the popular actors are getting ready to lead a new Hallmark movie together. The news was released during the network’s TCA presentation on Tuesday this week. Lissing, 42, an Australian actor is leading the movie with Krakow, 39, in the movie, Santa Tell Me, set to premiere during the 2024 Countdown to Christmas programming event.

Fans will recall Erin and Daniel played the roles of Elizabeth Thatcher and Jack Thornton in the series, which first aired in 2014. Moreover, Lissing left When Calls the Heart in season 5, after his character, Elizabeth’s husband, was killed off in the season finale.

Due to the actors’ undeniable chemistry, fans have begged Hallmark to reunite Erin and Daniel in another project. As fans know, they have both regularly starred in Hallmarks movies, but never in the same one.

Daniel Lissing reveals the exciting news

Fans’ wishes came true on Tuesday when Lissing shared the news on his social media while teasing what is to come. He wrote, “What a nice way to start the year… reuniting with @erinkrakow on this fun holiday movie,” adding, “Who’s excited??”

Meanwhile, Krakow was quick to respond by sharing a Santa emoji along with several exclamation marks, revealing her excitement over the new project. So far, plot details and a premiere date are both unknown.

Back in 2020, ET interviewed Lissing about his choice to leave the Hallmark series to pursue other projects, saying:

It’s funny the way the world works. If I had stayed on the show, and been there during season 6 and shot and all that kind of stuff, then I wouldn’t have met [my fianceé] Nadia, you know? And I wouldn’t be getting married and I wouldn’t be at this place in my life where I feel really in line with what I’m meant to be doing personally and professionally, so no regrets at all.

How can I look at my future wife and say, ‘Oh, I should’ve stayed on this job?’ She’s my life, you know? That’s my personal life and that’s exponentially more important to me than a job.

It looks like Daniel’s exit from the show was fate, as he and Nadia wed in June 2020.

When Calls the Heart returns on April 7, 2024, at 9 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.
