The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was hanging out at Society when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) entered loudly. Stafford’s embattled character was following her daughter, Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), who soon fired Phyllis.

Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was nowhere near Genoa City, Wisconsin, while Phyllis was treated badly by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Summer. Diane was squirreled away at the Abbott cabin, where Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) took her so she could hide from Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

Phyllis is the reason Jeremy is in GC. She admitted to him, and later to Jack and Summer, that she was the person who provided Jeremy with intel on Diane so he would scare her out of town.

Jack has every reason to be angry with Phyllis. Their on-again, off-again romantic connection plays heavily into this pairing’s unworkable dynamic.

While Phyllis once loved Jack, she rejected his desire to get back together. It was only when Diane came back to town that Phyllis used that real threat to cavort with Jack. And that is what it was, rather than a romantic reunion.

Summer, on the other soapy hand, should always have her mother’s back, especially when Diane is involved. Lanier’s character knows Phyllis’ precarious position and all the players. She should not abandon her mother but did so.

Y&R Spoilers – Enter Adam Newman At The Right Time

Adam is Jabot’s co-Chief Executive Officer. Jack hired him in the recent past because Kyle wanted to head the Marchetti division.

Phyllis does not trust Adam but could use an ally who thinks deviously. While Adam does not want to jeopardize or damage his business relationship with Jack, he is always open to exploring creative outlets.

Stafford’s character may soon need protection from Jeremy or may already have put herself in need to defense now. That is where Adam could be useful.

Phyllis has to correct what has happened. She can not allow the relationship with Summer to remain broken.

Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is on his mother’s side. He will serve as a go-between between Phyllis and Summer.
