Married at First Sight Spoilers: Zach Justice Explains Why He Told Mindy Shiben She Wasn’t Attractive To Him

A major storyline on season 10 of Married at First Sight is the fact Zach Justice does not find Mindy Shiben sexually attractive. He explains why.

Other couples on the tenth season of Married at First Sight and former couples that married on the show have been upset at Zach Justice after the personal trainer told Mindy Shiben he didn’t find her attractive after they wed.

In the episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered that aired Wednesday night, Zach could be seen watching a clip of Mindy crying in their hotel room. In the clip, Mindy was saying she felt she had to be “perfect” for Zach and was concerned their marriage was possibly a mistake.

Host Jamie Otis, who is still happily married to Doug Hehner from season 1, asked Zach what it felt like to see Mindy so upset. Zach replied that he is a “sucker when it comes to emotion.” He said it isn’t awesome to see someone hurting.

Zach noted his words were being taken differently. He said while Mindy feels lousy about it, this wasn’t the context he was trying to get over. When asked why he said that to Mindy, Zach told Jamie in the past, he would have been more “standoffish” in his reactions to her. He said he would be distant and not really explain himself, as he didn’t want to admit to someone he wasn’t attracted to them. Zach said in this case, it’s different, and he wants to be transparent and honest, no matter what.

Brandon Reid reacts to Zach’s words

Michael Watson and Brandon Reid are also grooms on season 10 and appeared on Unfiltered. Brandon offered his opinion, saying it was like putting the “cart before the horse.” He said this was the kind of thing that got worked out prior to the honeymoon. That it was a tough conversation to have, but he thought Zach handled it well.

Jamie tried to reassure Zach, saying she had not been attracted to Doug before she married him during season 1. She pointed out that they are still happily married, with a daughter, Henley Grace and they are expecting their second child. She told Zach she stuck it out and kept her mind open and pregnancy made them both happy, so he must keep up hope.

Zach admitted he can see why he and Mindy were matched by the experts and there were plenty of things to give him hope, saying the relationship can evolve.
