Christina Ricci Says Filming For Season 2 Of “Yellowjackets” Has Wrapped

Fans of “Yellowjackets” won’t have to wait too long now for the premiere of the show’s second season, which will be available to stream on Showtime on March 24, just two days before it will debut on its official network.

Christina Ricci and her costars have put in a lot of time and effort to bring fans of “Yellowjackets” a follow-up season to the show’s successful first run, and they’re looking forward to the day fans will get to see all they’ve been working on.

On Saturday, Ricci updated fans on the status of her upcoming TV show “Yellowjackets” by announcing that shooting for the Showtime thriller officially wrapped up 5 a.m. that morning.

“I loved every minute with these amazing women,” Ricci wrote alongside a photo of herself and costars Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Simone Kessell and Lauren Ambrose.

“My only regret is this coat,” Ricci jokingly added of her purple, plaid trench coat.

Even though the filming for the show’s first season just wrapped up, it did not stop its trailer from arriving early January to garner interest for its March release.

What To Expect From “Yellowjackets’” Upcoming Second Season

The trailer for the show’s sophomore season started with flashes of the bad plane crash from the first season, along with scenes of cannibalism and an apparent murder. It’s easy to see from the intense trailer that the women will have their hands filled with solving mysteries and trying not to be caught up in the grotesque murder they’re investigating.

Some of the unanswered questions in the first season, like the identity of the masked woman called Antler Queen, who leads the rituals for a highschool’s soccer team, could be revealed this time round.

Another mystery that the second season could answer is the victim of one of the cult’s cannibalistic killing.
