Lifetime Reveals Two New ‘Ripped From The Headlines’ Movies For Summer

Lifetime has announced two new, true-crime movies for its Ripped From the Headlines summer fare. Amish Affair is the first, premiering on July 6, followed a week later by Sister Wife Murder.
The two new movies follow the June premieres of The Girl Locked Upstairs: The Tanya Kach Story; Gaslit by My Husband: The Morgan Metzer Story; Yoga Teacher Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story; Danger in the Dorm; Devil on Campus: The Larry Ray Story and The Killer Inside, The Ruth Finley Story, making for exciting viewing for the summer.
Amish Affair on Lifetime
Stars: Mackenzie Cardwell and Ryan McPartlin
Premiere date: July 6, 2024, on Lifetime
Plot: Starring Cardwell (Upload) as Hannah, Amish Affair tells the story of a young woman brought into the home of Aaron (Ryan McPartlin, Chuck and Lifetime’s The Holiday Fix Up).
She is there to help care for his ailing wife. However, she feels a spark with Aaron while knowing their secret relationship means they are both living in sin. Meanwhile, when Aaron’s wife dies in suspicious circumstances, Hannah is framed for her murder and has to fight to prove her innocence,
As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is produced by Muse Entertainment, with Chris Wade and Jesse Prupas as executive producers along with McPartlin. Amish Affair is directed by Robin Hays from a script penned by James Philips.
Sister Wife Murder
Stars: Dia Nash, Matthew Daddario, Ashley Williams and Ashley Dulaney
Premiere date: July 13, 2024
Sister Wife Murder tells the story of Chloe (Nash), who attends church for the first time and is immediately drawn to the pastor, Caleb (Daddario). She falls in love with him, only to discover that he is married to two women, Anna (Williams) and Margo (Dulaney).
However, despite this, Chloe is thrilled when Caleb proposes. However, she quickly comes to experience his controlling behavior. Moreover, when one of the wives mysteriously disappears, Chloe fears she might be next.
Manu Boyer directs and executive produces the movie, while Peter Sullivan wrote the script of Sister Wife Murder. Meanwhile, the movie is produced by Hybrid (Lifetime’s The Wrong… movies).
