Margot Robbie Promises Barbie Fans That The Life-like Version Of The Doll’s Dream House Is Indeed A Dream

Imagine seeing Barbie’s revered dream house in all its pink and glory. And then imagine it better. According to our latest Barbie, Margot Robbie, it will be.

Barbie’s real estate is not about to disappoint fans.

The 32-year-old Oscar nominee plays the popular fictional character/doll in the upcoming Greta Gerwig movie. During her recent conversation with Carey Mulligan for Variety’s “Actor’s on Actor’s” series, Robbie teased that there will be Dreamhouses in the comedy, referencing the doll’s beloved playsets.

“I’ve been working on it for about four or five years now — it’s a LuckyChap project. And we went after Greta,” said producer/star Robbie. “There were maybe three people that we would want to make a Barbie movie with, and I was like, if she says no…. So thank God she said yes. She’s just brilliant.”

Mulligan, 37, happily asked the question fans would love to know. “Do you make giant Barbie houses in the film?”

“The Dreamhouses? You’ll see some Dreamhouses. And it will be everything you ever dreamed of,” Robbie responded.

During the chat, Robbie and Mulligan also shared praises for Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken in the upcoming Barbie movie.

Mulligan, who has also worked with him a while back for the movie “Drive”, called Gosling, 42, the “sweetest, nicest man in the world, and an incredible actor.”

“Isn’t he the most glorious human being?” added Robbie delightfully.

Last year, Robbie chatted with the British Vogue about Greta’s involvement with the project: “People generally hear Barbie and think, ‘I know what that movie is going to be,’ and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t…’ “

The movie is set to star big names like Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon and Michael Cera.
