Neighbours Spoilers: Alan Dale Spotted Back On Soap’s Set

Neighbours Spoilers: Alan Dale Spotted Back On Soap's SetNeighbours spoilers tease that Hollywood actor Alan Dale returns to Erinsborough 25 years after his characters death!

Unfortunately, Alan Dale won’t be reprising his role of Jim Robinson in a Lazarus-effect storyline (although if the Dee storyline is anything to go by – there could be a Jim doppelganger!)

Instead, Alan – who starred in Neighbours between 1985 and 1993 – was back on set to visit Stefan Dennis, who played his son Paul Robinson.

Although Alan and Stefan left the show around the same time, Stefan returned 15 years later and is now seen as one of the most iconic Neighbours characters ever.

Posting a picture of the two on his Instagram, Stefan said, “Father and son back together at the pub. Same same but slightly older… the pub’s held up pretty well don’t you think? #Neighbours #Dynesty.”

Alan posted a picture with Stefan and his wife Gail – who also starred in Neighbours as Julie Quill – while at a Victoria winery together. He then posted the same selfie as Stefan, adding, “Neighbours’ with Stef after 25 years away. #Neighbours #Dynesty.”

Many fans would be shocked to know that Alan is back on set considering that in past years he has been very vocal in airing his dissatisfaction with the show. Back in 2008, Alan revealed, “It was sweet and the people I worked with were sweet, most of them. But the producers were greedy and nasty. There are many examples of the things these people did and, as far as I know, are still doing. When you live in a country where there is not much else to do as an actor, there isn’t much choice but to put up with it. But I used to fight them all the time, which is one of the reasons we parted company.”

In later years Alan went on to declare “I’m happy to be out of it – look at my career.” And he’s right. Since leaving Neighbours Alan has built up an impressive filmography, including top shows such as Ugly Betty and The O.C., and most recently the Dynasty revival on Netflix.

Even if Alan was willing to return to Neighbours it would be tricky as Jim died of a heart attack in 1993. But it’s still lovely to see him in Erinsborough – even if it is just behind the scenes!
