After an intimate night of passion is leaked for everyone to view, Neighbours’ Amy Williams and Kyle Canning will clash over sexism.

Three years ago, conman Ryan Prescott planted hidden cameras in a Lassiters hotel room, hoping to get footage he could use to extort Terese. With the camera only just being found, there is thousands of hours’ worth of footage, including a recording of Amy and Kyle sleeping together.

Once the tape is uploaded online and sent to the local press Amy, Kyle and Lassiters face a huge scandal. With Amy trying to secure a new position as project manager on a huge job she tries to keep a low profile and avoid all the attention she can. Kyle does his best to help her with this, but it soon becomes apparent that the two are being treated very differently in regards to the tape.

While Kyle receives praise and celebration for being part of the sex tape, Amy is being slut shamed and degraded. How will Kyle confront this double standard? Will he challenge it, or will it become a source of tension between he and Amy?

Neighbours Spoilers – Amy And Kyle Are Not The Only Ones In Hot Water

He does try to limit it, but becomes angry when Amy leans on her father for support rather than him. When Paul suggests that Amy releases a statement to the media in aim of controlling the story, Kyle confronts Paul, fearing that he has ulterior motives for supporting his daughter.

This ulterior motive could act to help Lassiters as must do all they can to limit the damage the released footage will do to their business. Part of the damage control even sees Terese standing down as general manager for a while, asking Chloe to step up to the position while she works behind the scenes to sort everything out.
