Neighbours spoilers reveal the truth about newcomer Ebony after Chloe Brennan discovers her shady secret.

Chloe Brennan finds herself in a tricky situation next week when she feels forced to keep secrets from friend Pierce Greyson after discovering the truth about his finances intentions.

Ever since Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) met Pierce’s fiance Ebony Buttrose there had been tension between the two. Chloe believes that Ebony only wants his money, and Ebony believes that Chloe only wants him back for the same reason. But when Chloe gets a chance to get one over on her rival, she takes the high road and chooses not to.

Episodes airing next week will see Chloe discovering that Ebony has purchased cheap glass bottles for the perfume she’s trying to launch, rather than the expensive ones that Pierce gave her the money for. So what about the left over money, Chloe wonders.

When she overhears Ebony on the phone telling someone that she will send them more money soon, she has an idea.

Although Chloe’s brother Mark urges her not to get involved in the situation she does so anyway, not wanting to see her friend hurt. Rooting through Ebony’s desk to look for clues, she comes across bank records which show money being transferred to a mystery account. But, of course, Ebony walks in and catches Chloe snooping.

Yet Chloe has the upper hand, and Ebony is forced to reveal what’s happening with the money. She reveals the she is actually sending some of Pierce’s money to her sister, who is a struggling single mother. Ebony admits that she hasn’t told Pierce, but she does genuinely love him and isn’t a gold-digger.

Unsure of what to do about the situation, Chloe goes back to Mark, who, as someone who has been lied to, believes that Pierce deserves to know the truth.

Despite Mark’s advice, Chloe decides not to say anything, believing that Ebony isn’t a gold-digger and does have good intentions.
