Neighbours Spoilers: Elly Confesses Her Shocking Secret To Mark

The secret is finally out – Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) knows he isn’t the father of Elly Conway’s (Jodi Anasta) baby.

Following advice from Finn Kelly (Rob Mills), Elly realizes it’s time to tell Mark the truth about the paternity of her baby, leading to an explosive showdown at the Brennan house.

Viewers saw Finn – Elly’s ex-boyfriend and former enemy – work out that Shaun was the real father of Elly’s baby, not Mark. Though he promises to keep the secret, Elly believes that it’s only a matter of time before he reveals everything.

Making her anxiety clear to Finn, he does his best to repeatedly assure her that he isn’t going to tell Mark. It’s not his place and he doesn’t want to place any more stress on her when she is pregnant.

However, he does provide her with some advice which really makes her think; he’s noticed how much of a toll the lies are taking on her, insisting that things will not get better, only worse.

Knowing that Finn is right, Elly prepares herself to tell Mark that the child she is carrying is not his. Understandably Mark is shocked, appalled and devastated. When Elly tells him the whole story, including how she passed Caitlyn’s ultrasound scan as her own, Mark doesn’t quite know how to react.

What he does know is that he will not, and cannot, forgive Elly again. He kicks her out of the house for good, sending her back to the Kennedy’s.

But before she goes he can’t help but admit something to her too: he only ever took her back after she cheated the first time because she was pregnant, not because he loved her.
