Neighbours Spoilers: Elly Conway’s Baby Storyline Takes Twisted Turn

Neighbours spoilers tease as Elly’s lies spiral out of control so does next week’s storyline, which sees the lengths she will go to keep her baby secret taken to the extreme.

In a disgraceful move, Elly chooses to pass Caitlin’s old scan photo off as her own, not wanting Mark to find out how many weeks pregnant she really is.

The latest predicament comes when Mark surprises Elly by booking her in for a scan, telling her that he can’t wait to attend it with her. Knowing that she’s only six weeks pregnant, not almost 12 like Mark believes, Elly has to come up with a way to get out of it. To do so, she lies to Mark and tells him that she was called for an earlier appointment and has to do the ultrasound without him.

With the problem of the scan appointment out of the way, Elly begs her doctor not to breach confidentiality and tell Mark that she never actually had a scan. But now has to come up with a fake scan picture that she can show to Mark. When Dipi Rebecchi hands Elly a box of Sonya’s old possessions to give him, Elly sees her chance. In there is the ultrasound for the baby that Sonya carried for Mark and Steph Scully in 2017, but devastatingly lost.

Just as Elly picks up the ultrasound picture and considers whether she could use it, Mark walks in and assumes it’s their baby. As the photo is in the frame the name and date are cut off, so Elly doesn’t correct him. Realising she can’t pedal back on yet another lie, she cuts off the name and date to pass it off as her own.

Can she get away with this for much longer?
