Neighbours spoilers reveal that fan favorite Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) is back in town only months after leaving; one of many familiar faces returning to Erinsborough to celebrate Neighbours’ 35th anniversary.
Over the past few weeks, viewers have watched as Ned Willis (Ben Hall) struggled with bad-guy Zenin, who he knew from the illicit fight club. Zenin threatened Ned to keep quiet about what he saw there, though Ned has no idea what he’s talking about. Eventually he was able to bluff his way out of trouble – or so he thought.
Next week sees Ned get caught in the middle of a crazy situation as the police attempt to shut down Zenin’s gun ring. The drama culminates in a dangerous show down between him and the cops, leaving Ned’s life in danger when he is taken as hostage with a gun against his head.
The storyline leads to the return of Mark Brennan, who left for Adelaide four months ago. Since living there, he has been promoted to the position of detective, and has taken a lead role in the gun ring case. With the ring now operating in Erinsborough, he is temporarily transferred back there to try and solve the case.

While Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) is hurt by Ned’s involvement and all the secrets he has kept from her, she is also desperate to make sure that he doesn’t get charged as another offense could see him in jail. Mark isn’t impressed by Ned’s behaviour, so tells Yashvi outright that Ned isn’t a good boyfriend to have if she wants to be a police officer.
Will Yashvi take Marks advice on board?
