When Melanie Pearson came back to Ramsay Street to meet up with some old friends, she revealed she was back living close by. Single again, she found herself on Tinder, hoping to find a handsome man in the area. And at first, she was in luck – she matched with Erinsborough legend Toadie Rebecchi and they decided to meet in The Waterhole. But they certainly didn’t hit it off. Melanie had used an old picture of herself, so Toadie was shocked, and cringed his way through the whole date.

Although the romance didn’t blossom, he could tell Melanie was a good egg and eventually she became the secretary of his law firm. What seemed like a good idea at first quickly turned sour and they struggled to work together, but Melanie eventually proved herself a real asset to the company and they soon worked together well as friends.
