Neighbours Spoilers: Piper Willis' Mental Health Declines - Family Fears The WorstNeighbours spoilers tease the soap is set to further explore Piper Willis’ (Mavournee Hazel) mental health storyline next week.

Piper’s friends and family grow increasingly worried for the teenager next week after an emotional outburst over Tyler (Travis Burns).

The beloved character, who has been through much hardship lately after the imprisonment of her boyfriend, lashes out and Mark (Scott McGregor) and Aaron (Matt Wilson) next week.

The remaining Brennan brothers notice that since Tyler has been in prison Piper has developed an unhealthy attachment to the chair that he got for the house. Mark and Aaron decide that the best way to help Piper to be moving on and stop moping over Tyler by getting rid of the chair.

For this reason, the brothers donate the chair to a ‘trash and treasure’ sale in the local area, but don’t tell Piper what they are doing.

When Piper realizes what they did she is distraught and immediately demands an explanation. The argument escalates, leading Piper to lose it – she’s completely overwhelmed with grief. Soon after Mark and Aaron see just how emotionally unstable and distressed Piper is and feel very guilty for selling the chair which was a source of comfort for her.

Although they deeply regret their actions, Mark and Aaron realize that the extent of Piper’s emotional outburst was not normal and could be a sign of a bigger mental health problem. For this reason, they give David (Takaya Honda) a call, believing she needs the help of a medical professional.

David suggests that Piper starts regular therapy, as well as medication to treat anxiety and depression. Piper doesn’t agree though and stubbornly refuses his help.

Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) is obviously very worried for her daughter and asks Steph (Carla Bonner) to talk with Piper about her own experience of mental health problems. This thankfully works and Piper finally opens up about how she feels – fearing that accepting medication would make her appear weak.

Steph reminds Piper that mental health is just as valid as physical health so there’s no need to be embarrassed about asking for help. Piper finally commits to a recovery plan – is this the start of Piper getting better?
