Neighbours spoilers and updates reveal that in Erinsborough Clive (Geoff Paine) and Jane (Annie Harris) have been strictly friends since the 80s. However, after Roxy spiked the Christmas punch with alcohol at the Kennedy’s Christmas party, Clive and Jane ended up in bed together!

Though they immediately regret what happened, and Jane tries to sneak out, they can’t seem to put what happened behind them. Though they try to remain friends and forget what happened, their chemistry is undeniable, and they just can’t ignore the connection they now have. They have both been unlucky in previous relationships – with Clive recently being dumped by Sheila and Jane’s symbolic marriage to Des breaking down soon after it started, so they both definitely deserve a shot at happiness.

Given Clive’s complicated dating history with Sheila and the fact that all of them are friends, they are really unsure how to go about things. They therefore decide to start seeing each other in secret, to avoid hurting her feelings, and will tell her at a later point, when time is right.
