Done binge-watching the second season of “Emily in Paris” and pining for more? Well, fear not, because Netflix has officially confirmed that they’ve greenlighted, not only season 3, but the fourth one as well! Here’s to seeing the City of Light and its funny, fashion-forward marketing exec, Emily (Lily Collins), make both business and relationship moves yet again in the not-so-distant future.
Expect Nothing Less Than More Drama From The Third Season Of “Emily In Paris”
Netflix and Lily Collins recently broke the happy news that the beloved comedy show will be returning for a third and fourth time. Collins shared the news with millions of her followers on Instagram, with a series of pictures of herself wearing a DIY “Emily in Paris” merch tee.
“Woke up early to give you some VERY exciting news… @emilyinparis is back for Season 3… AND wait for it, Season 4!!!!! I can’t tell if Emily would love or hate this announcement outfit but she’d be screaming either way,” Collins wrote on Instagram. “Truly love you all, thanks so much for the incredible support. Seriously cannot wait for more. Merci Beaucoup!!…”
Apart from the highly desirable news that Netflix’s top comedy drama of 2020 will be returning, there’s not much that’s been revealed yet. Well, except the fact that not everybody would be happy about Emily’s decision in the next installment. As if you don’t already know that.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Collins revealed that she does not have any clear idea of what her character’s future will be. “I would love the opportunity to get to do a Season 3. I myself don’t know her choice yet. I keep asking,” she told the outlet. “But whatever choice it is you know it will be filled with drama, fashion and a lot of fun and romance.”

“I have a very strong idea [of what Emily chooses], and I think the thing is, there’s no right choice,” he told ELLE.com. “There’s no choice that’s gonna make everything better and please everybody. And I think Emily also is…a bit of a people pleaser, and she’s gonna make a decision that’s gonna make some people unhappy. And she’s gonna have to deal with that also next season.”
There’s also whisperings that Season 3 could see Emily visit London, especially if she plans to take on a long-distance relationship with her Season 2 love interest, Alfie.
By the way, Lucien Laviscount is totally down for returning to “Emily in Paris” in order to “serve Emily’s story and do a good job,” because that’s all that matters.
